THE QUEEN’S DIAMOND JUBILEE CONCERT

Sure, some of the artists who performed had seen better days- and once had better voices.

But it was The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and only a right twat would criticize the show- and it was a spectacular show.

The comedians/hosts like Rolf Harris, Lenny Hendry etc were tame, but, hey, the Monarchy was watching- and Prince Philip, sadly, wasn’t there.

Tom Jones was incredible: What an amazing voice! And how old is the Welsh boyo? Surely over seventy?

Sir Cliff was his usual professional self even though his false teeth seemed to be giving him some problems.

The new Diamond Jubilee Anthem written by Gary Barlow and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber was wonderfully moving.

Sir Paul did his best despite no longer able to hit those high notes which he once could with such great ease.

But, hey, he was THERE- and, at 69. perhaps performing ‘live’ for the last time.

Robbie Williams was reserved and came out Swinging and Winning.

In the end, a god time was had by all and all that was missing was Billy Shears.
