The new way of looking at horse racing

ABOUT YIU AND US

Trainer Ricky Yiu was amongst the winners as many predicted, but with none of the horses many thought would be winners!

With eight runners on today’s card, Yiu scored in the first race with 18 to 1 pop Super Pepper and very well-ridden by Vincent CY Ho.

And that was it.

Hot favourite and last start winner Jade Christy couldn’t even manage to run a place in the 1000 metre sprinter.

The race was taken out by Tony Millard’s first starter and UK sprinter Oriental Proper extremely well-ridden by Matthew Chadwick.

In fact, Chadwick rode well throughout the afternoon and we would award our Ride Of The Day to him for getting Open Sesame first past the post in race 5.

Let’s hope he does the same with California Memory next weekend during the Hong Kong International Races.

He certainly will be riding with great confidence after his brace of winners today.

As for Ricky Yiu, we think his focus is on how his stable star- Sacred Kingdom- will do next Sunday in the International Sprint.
