Adam Lambert’s career in the States- or with the morally “correct”- all but went up in flames when he appeared at the 2009 American Music Awards.
When he got carried away with the music and lip-locked with a member of his band on ‘live’ television, the corporate music industry gasped.
This was around three years ago and when so much was expected by Lambert.
He was going to be Master Gaga.
After all, here was someone who was not part of any cookie-cutter music factory.
The guy could really sing and why he didn’t win that season’s “American Idol” can be put down to the votes for Kris Allen from the Christian Right.
An openly gay “American Idol”?
Perish the thought.
Despite loyal “Glamberts” still singing his praises and waiting in hope, Adam Lambert has become a has-been.
There have been no new music in almost three years.
Forget the great voice, and the brilliant ‘live’ shows.
Something or someone has been standing in his way.
As a presenter on this year’s AMA’s, perhaps he has been forgiven.
