The timing couldn’t be better: The Heroes In The Valley promotion that starts tomorrow night (Wednesday) and continues for another Happy Wednesday happens just days after the winning adventures on Saturday in Dubai of Super-jockey Joao “Magic Man” Moreira and the super-successes in Hong Kong of a future super-jockey- Karis Teetan.

While Magic Man Moreira was one of the finds and highlights of Dubai World Cup night on Saturday with two brilliant rides that put Hong Kong bang on centrestage of world racing, Mauritian Karis Teetan has ridden a remarkable six winners over the past two race meetings.

Teets is on such Super-fire these days, his arse is smokin’ more than Bob Marley did when puffing on that ganga.

Though Moreira only returns to riding next Wednesday, other Hong Kong racing heroes like Douglas Whyte and Zac Purton will be in action and certain to ride a few winners, Heroes In The Valley is a tribute to them PLUS your favorite Super-heroes.

So, here’s the chance to dress up as Batman, Catwoman, Iron Man, Superman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl or some new Super-hero you’ve created- Dim Sum Man?- and flex your muscles in the Beer Garden of Happy Valley Racecourse.

Adding to the Super-fun- an exhibition of his work by world-famous illustrator and animator Pat Lee, below, Brazilian dancers, ‘live’ music by a Brazilian band and, just maybe, an appearance by Joao Moreira- plus some super-surprises.
