With only three meetings left, things are reaching a now or never level.
On the one hand, Douglas Whyte is going all out to rack up one hundred winners for the season which doesn’t seem to be a problem.
However, most interest lies in the battle royale for the trainers championship between Dennis Yip, Tony Cruz and John Size.
Each have entered some of their younger big guns for Happy Thursday at Happy Valley and it remains to be seen if any make headway on the others.

At the moment, Dennis Yip is holding a slender lead, but John Size has always said that Tony Cruz is the one to beat and how he has the equine ammunition to win.
On Thursday, for example, Tony brings Winnie’s Horse to Happy Valley for the first time and it remains to be seen if the promising galloper can repeat its Shatin success at the city track.
But from a punting point of view, a word of caution: After the great winning treble by Michael Chang at Shatin on Monday and how well Caspar Fownes does at Happy Valley, these trainers might have the horsepower to end this season with a bang.
