DOES ANYONE REALLY CARE?
What do washed up or untalented “stars” and pseudo-celebs do to try and stay relevant? They either end up airing their dirty laundry on a reality show, or they end up as a judge on a television talent show. One very key case in point: Paula Abdul and who “American Idol” rescued from the depths of being a has-been. The show saved her ass- and now, she’s back in oblivion.
Same with Simon Cowell- well, the show MADE him- and even Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Oh, come on, Jenny From The Block was going nowhere as was Tyler.
Don’t get us started on “The Dawg.”
So, if- and it’s still a big IF- Britney Spears joins the US version of “X Factor”- it’s a big career-saving move.
What has Britney Spears done recently?
At 30, she’s in limbo and forgotten.
She WAS an icon. Today? More like an acorn?
Another acorn supposedly looking towards “The X Factor” and being a judge? Janet Jackson who hasn’t had a hit in years.
It’s all becoming one very stale buffet.
