It might have been April In Paris, but almost everything to do with The City Of Romance will make up the next few Happy Wednesdays at Happy Valley Racecourse just as they did last year.

With everything having a French theme, the resident band at the Beer Garden- Carnivale- with their Latino-tinged rhythms will take a break and be back with a boom boom and a bang bang next month.

Providing the ‘live’ entertainment at the Beer Garden for the next few Happy Wednesdays will be a variety of acts, direct from France starting this week with a fun brass band plus acrobats, cyclists and dancers.

Throughout the Beer Garden including all the venues will be characters, cuisine and beverages including a great selection of French wines, chocolates, French racing ambassadors, and everything else that will have that French flair.

There’ll be a number of fun racing themed games at the Gallery whereas don’t forget that the Happy Wednesday party continues after the last race has been run at Adrenaline. This is where the Jennifer Palor Band play on and there’s always the promise to expect the unexpected. There’s dancing, and last week, a number of visiting musicians sat in for a memorable jam session. What’s more, after 10pm, admission is free. C’est si bon? You bet, mes amis!

As for the horse racing, an omen bet might be to follow French jockey Olivier Doleuze, and horses trained by Richard Gibson, who first made his name in horse racing when working in France.
