Of course, all eyes will be focussed on Wednesday’s Longines International Jockeys Challenge where some of the best jockeys from around the world will compete for honors in four designated races against Hong Kong’s representatives, namely, Douglas Whyte, Zac Purton and Matthew Chadwick.
The International jockeys include the brilliant Olivier Peslier from France and Ryan Moore from the UK who we’re tipping to win the competition.
Adding to the International flavor of the night of racing is in Race 8 where the well-credentialed overseas import Victor Delight lines up against a tough group of competitors.
Trainer Caspar Fownes has taken his time over this galloper for one of his most loyal owners.
If not exactly at its peak, it should almost be there with, we think, the main danger being Beauty Touch which is owned by Thomas Kwok, the head of Sa Sa.
Thomas hadn’t been having much luck with his “Beauty” horses of late, but this one might change his luck.
Frankly, we don’t care either way as we’ll be cheering on the Hong Kong riders in their races for International supremacy.
We’ll be cheered out by Race 8!
