The new way of looking at horse racing

Could it be a Joao sun Shatin day?

There was a jaunty step in the Brazilian magic man’s voice when he cheerily shot the breeze with Nick “Monty” Child for the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s, well, breezy, Racing To Whinge express train.

It’s always good to see Joao looking like an excited enchilada and exuding massive good vibes, especially when going on and on and on about his ride Beauty Live in the eighth race.

He paused to mention to “Monty”, who we think brings a kinda laid back and Pythonesque vibe to all the bon hommie going on, “I guess that’s why you want to talk to me”. Yes, Joao, it was.

With that impish smile, he looks like he wanted to bite someone. Possibly the rather alluring Nick Child, below.

We think Joao could be in line for a pretty good day with, other than Beauty Live, his other winning chances being Galaxy Witness in the last- a competitive looking race- with possibly only Charity Grace to beat- and maybe Lucky Gor in Race 6.

We don’t see any value at all in the Treble or, if in Oz, the Shatin Quaddie- but with a Triple Trio jackpot expected to balloon up to around HK$20 million, it’s definitely something worth those in Hong Kong focusing on.

Must Watch: Race 2 which is- wait for it- The DENDROBEUM Handicap. Who on earth names these races??? As for this one, perhaps they meant the orchid that is a Dendrobium? Whatever...
