At least for the time being, Tony Cruz has the best strike rate of all the trainers in town when talking about winners at the Happy Valley racecourse. He might not be ‘The King Of The Valley’ but, right now, he is more like a Bullish Prince.
On Wednesday, Cruz Control hovers around with three possibly future equine stars of the turf.
One is Cape Canaveral which has a proven record at the Valley and in contention to take out the baffling 1010 Million Challenge.
Sorry, but we have no idea how this Challenge works. It’s all a strain for us but challenge or no Challenge, we’ll follow Cape Canaveral.
Another runner from the stable well worth following is Seasons Star which won a weak looking contest at its first start at Shatin.
However, when switched to Happy Valley and Dougie Whyte deputizing for Matthew Chadwick, it flew down the outside like a horse that had seen the light. This could be a real Valley specialist.
The third string in Cruz’s bow is first starter Bullish Boy and which easily won a recent trial at Happy Valley. Bullish Boy looks set to give the Bullish Prince a bullish run for its connections.
