Fast Track Entourage Snares Second Six-Up For The Season!

You win some and you lose some and while the HKJC’s Trackside Team’s Clint Hutchison’s Best Bet for the night – Real Dragon confidently ridden by Matthew Chadwick won the first at 6 to 1 – his colleague, Darren Flindell’s tip for the first- Maccassar- lost the race when it got off to a “tardy”- aka crap- start from the barrier and was a about six lengths behind the rest of the field.

The “Dazzler” was no doubt still reeling from his 120 to 1 pop from over the weekend being beaten by a nostril hair. The favourite for the race – Winning Mascot and ridden by Alvin K C Ng – which we left out, staggered to the line. There must be something wrong with it whereas the plunge on Grandway Flyer came undone.

To celebrate those who followed Hutchison, saxy man Blaine Whittaker’s Adrenaline started the music rolling to their own composition, “Happy Wednesday.” Not too shabby, boys. Try having it recorded.

Later, Simon, that “guy with the mic” who makes Happy Wednesdays come alive with his hyper interviews joined the band for an impromptu version of “Sweet Home Alabama” and which he changed to “Sweet Home Happy Valley”.

Back at the races, after Zac Purton had taken out the second on the heavily backed Fortune Winner, three races had been run and with ten-pound claimer Alvin K C Ng having his rides backed for a stack … and getting rolled.

Brett Prebble won the third for the night and the Ireland Trophy aboard the David Hall -trained Familists.

It was a strangely run event and despite the hard run it had, Familists, the 3 to 1 favourite won like a good thing and this might be worth following in all the CSL 10101 Million Challenge races.

A winner is a winner and small fish still taste sweet and Darren Flindell must have been feasting on it. It was his Best Bet for the night.

The other horse we’d keep following from this race would be the Caspar Fownes -trained Mark Up.

A win is around the corner and this was a big run.

At 2’s, the combination of trainer Francis Lui and jockey of the night Brett Prebble took out Race 4 aboard hotpot Touch Go and with second and third places adding some value to the tierce.

Again, a winner is a winner whatever the price.

With two races run in the Six-Up and two favourites saluting, we were wondering where the shocks might come from.

They did in race 5 when favourite Longwah Rising – and which our Fast Track Entourage and The Guru dismissed so quickly- failed to run a place.

Jacky C K Tong rode the next winner, Benefector, like a jockey possessed, no one won the Triple Trio, and it was an awful night for the combination of Dennis C H Yip and Alvin K C Ng.

Far more importantly, our group of amateur tipsters – the Fast Track Entourage- tipped their second Six Up for the season.

FASTTRACK

The new way of looking at horse racing

The world of entertainment today is vast, it cannot be defined, it is intertwined and has become one. One cannot, for example, have music without fashion- and vice versa. Rock Stars, supermodels, actors and actresses and sports heroes have formed Mutual Admiration Societies.

On www.fasttrack.hk, you will see Who’s In, Who’s Out, What’s Hot and What’s Not- in Hong Kong and the rest of the world- in English and Chinese. It’s all ballsy stuff that breaks new ground and tells it like it is. The gloves are off.

Fast Track is the authority and driving force to steer you along the edgy road to this new world of entertainment.. Of course, there will be our opinions- off-the-wall, to-the-point and no waffle.

More important to us is what you think. Really think. Agree, disagree, or tell us to take a hike. As long as it’s a hike on the fast track of life, it doesn’t matter.
