Psy might not have been there to do his Horsie Dance that has taken over the world- he will be in Hong Kong next month to be the Gangnam pied piper at a shopping mall and, reportedly being paid a whopping US$500,000- but this didn’t stop Gangnam Style taking over Happy Wednesday at Happy Valley.
While the brilliant Nicole Russo, formerly with UK band Brand New Heavies performed upstairs at Adrenaline, the Beer Garden was a wall-to-wall sea of bodies enjoying the racing, taking in the wieners and sausages, lederhosens and sauerkraut of the Oktoberfest promotion.
To add to all this- boom!-? Happy Wednesday regulars were totally Gangnamed when the HKJC unleashed its own version of Gangnam Style which made Happy Wednesday as happy as Dougie Whyte winning easily on something else happy- first starter Happy Era.
It really showed how music can truly bring people of all ages and all nationalities together. There was more: a real Gangnam style wedding at the racetrack!
