The new way of looking at horse racing

Hong Kong Gig Guide May 11 – 14

Wondering what to do with yourself this weekend? Here are some of the musical happenings around Hong Kong!

1. First off, tonight at 7pm the American Indie / Folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Priscilla Ahn will be debuting her new album, “La La La” at MOM Livehouse in North Point.

She has a light clean voice and writes chilled out acoustic style music.

2. Secondly, tomorrow night at Music Zone the Brooklyn-based, ambient pop group Cigarettes After Sex will be doing a show.

They may look slightly aggressive dressed head to toe in black and all their footage in black and white. However, their music has a very relaxed acoustic feel to it and the lead singer has a very sweet voice…and clearly, a sense of humor (Check out the song below).

3. If you are looking to have more of a dance party this weekend though I would suggest you check out: Outlook Festival. This will be Hong Kong’s launch party of the European Bass Music festival.

This 2 day festival on Lantau Island is everything you could want arty and musical.

Featuring music acts from France and Japan they will keep you on the dance floor all day and all night. The music is not the only thing that will be keeping you busy. There are yoga classes, environmental talks, Hula Hooping, Massages, energy healing, fashion tents, I could go on and on. This festival is packed with creative activities and people! You can check out all of the info here:

I would hurry if I were you as they are selling out of tickets fast!

Hong Kong certainly has enough to keep you busy this weekend, from chilled out acoustic to hardcore dance to a creative weekend, take your pick. Cheers!
