Police Senior Superintendent Catherine Kwan Chui-Ching was at the centre of controversy this morning when she wore a hat with the badge of the Royal Hong Kong Police from the British colonial period, prior to the 1997 handover.
“I did indeed wear the wrong hat this morning, and that has now been rectified” she said. “Sorry about that. I think this is a slip-up on my part and has nothing to do with the image of the police force.”
