While Nicole Russo, below, who once sang with UK outfit Brand New Heavies performed her brand of funk in The Beer Garden to a packed crowd of racegoers and fun-goers and Adrenaline was buzzing, hardcore punters were taking a beating by following dick picks from tipsters which went up in flames.
If not for the Guru advising us to back Derek Leung in the Jockeys Challenge for the night, we’d have had to walk home. But by pooling together $2,000, we walked away with a cool profit of $10,000! Derek Leung is our man!
No favorites won any of the eight races and the night’s January Cup was taken out by Military Attacks, one of four horses entered for the race by John Moore who has made a habit of winning Cup races.
The real winner? The Hong Kong Jockey Club who hit another whopping betting turnover of $1 BILLION!
We didn’t match that, but for a ten buck entrance fee and $10,000 in profits, it was a VERY happy Happy Wednesday night. You have to be in it to win it, baby!
