After reading the above and never knowing that Gervais had once dismissed Ms Boyle as a “mong”- a derogatory term for someone with Down Syndrome, sorry, but we don’t find the funny man very funny anymore.
His “David Brent” in “The Office” was brilliant, but simply insulting people, well, that should have been left behind in the school playground.
It doesn’t take talent to make references to Tom Cruise and John Travolta being gay.
Ricky Gervais has not had a hit in years, he floats about from one crappy movie to hosting an awards show and where his only shtick is to stick it to people.
We loved it when Lady Madonna stuck it back to him and asked when he had kissed “a real woman.”
That woman has massive balls and Ricky Gervais has quickly become a has-been and a one-trick pony that Hollywood will use and then discard..
