We knew it was a matter of time before it would happen, but reading the comments about her “attitude” at the recent BRITS Awards, the Adele knockers are out in force.
It all reminds us of what some were explaining about how “hipsters” go “off” artists they support once they become “successful.”
“Hipsters” sound like another word for “phonies.” And selfish goons.
As for Adele, who knows what’s going through her mind: “I have now made it, baby, so fuck you, and I don’t give a damn ‘cos I have the world at my feet?”
Maybe as she has America fawning all over- and with that market making the British music scene looking markedly insignificant.
But was giving the finger- while onstage- to her ex who rejected her really necessary?
Was there a bit of “Ab Fab Diva” to all this?
Aren’t the songs about what a twat he was/is enough?
We hope we’re wrong and that Adele has both feet firmly planted on the ground, but we’re not holding our breath either.
Overnight fame- even if it took years- is a deadly beast.
