WAS THE FINGER MEANT FOR HIM?
In one corner, Sri Lankan-born M.I.A. who has used the old “Tamil Tiger” card to good effect to those who have no idea about the politics in the country where she was born- but where she spent zero time.
She has also played the role of the “tough bitch” to maximum effect. It hasn’t worked on many as it’s a work of fiction.
In the other corner, is Benjamin Bronfman, son of Edgar Bronfman Jr who until reasonably recently owned Warner Music.
Through “Junior’s” connections, it stands to reason that his son’s fiancée- and the mother of his baby- would have many doors open to her.
But now comes news of the split between M.I.A and Benjamin Bronfman.
From what we now know, it was not exactly an amicable split and one has to wonder if The Finer at the Super Bowl Half Time Show by Missy M.I.A. was aimed at the father of her 3-year-old son, Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman.
According to the Bronfman camp, M.I.A. is living up to her name: She, apparently, “rarely sees” her son.
