The new way of looking at horse racing

Meet Some Big Fat Beer-Bellied Germans

If it’s October – even late September, it’s time for many Librans.

It’s also time for Oktoberfest and you need to be at the Beer Garden of the Happy Valley Racecourse.

Why? ‘cos, it’s baaaack – the Happy Wednesday Oktoberfest!

From September 28 to October 26, 2011 – there’ll be beer, pretzels, more beer, Hendl (chicken), Schweinebraten, Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), Würstl, Knodell (potato or bread dumplings), Kasspatzn (cheese noodles), Reiberdatschi, Sauerkraut and, maybe, some Bavarian delicacies such as Obatzda and Weisswurst –  a white sausage.

And, yes, some will be there wearing their very best lederhosens, people, horse racing, more people, fun, real Oktoberfest music by a band from Munich, more fun, excitement- and even more beer – and all under one roof and en entrance fee of just ten bucks.

What else?

We’re sure the Jockey Club will throw in Hong Kong’s only German horse trainer – Andreas Schutz.

And if you really want to see a few beer bellies flop around, yes, there’ll be plenty of them on tap.
