The new way of looking at horse racing

MOSSE SCORES IN MELBOURNE

It was a flying trip Down Under and it paid big dividends.

Jockey Gerard Mosse was there to ride “Americain” in Saturday’s Moonee Valley Cup, and the Melbourne Cup winner showed that it is hitting peak form at the right time.

With a typical Mosse-judged race, the horse won with ease and looks spot-on to take the Melbourne Cup again.

Riding on a high, what will be interesting to see is how this wonderful Group 1 winning French jockey does at the Happy Valley meeting in Hong Kong tomorrow.

Golden YY for Richard Gibson, Happy Yeah Yeah for Almond Lee, and Space Race for Tony Cruz, all give him some great winning chances.

And there’s also a new one he’s riding for Tony Millard which could pull off a shock.

One horse he is riding – Turf Express in Race 10 for Tony Cruz – is a horse we won’t be following.

The horse was a real duffer in Oz and it’s amusing/puzzling why someone would ever want to buy this beast.

Forget that debut win in Hong Kong at 45’s when no one had any money on it.

It’s done bugger all since then.
