The new way of looking at horse racing

OH, JEEZ, NO: AMERICA HAS A NEW “IDOL”?

Yes, the visual above makes no sense as Simon Cowell physically left “American Idol” over a year ago and, mentally, probably five years earlier and Obama is yet to make an appearance on the television talent show. Still, it’s just all too weird and reeks of being opportunistic when the show’s Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe tweets a message inviting the Prez to not only sing on the show, but to actually sing a DUET with the great Al Green. All this after Obama’s well-rehearsed “adlib” at some “campaign” rally. It just shows how opportunists can make music together and how this is a duet/marriage which has made many bona fide musicians shudder and almost want to give up their careers.

Sorry, but we don’t find this “news” funny nor “exciting.” It’s a cheap gimmick and makes a further mockery of these shows and reduces them even right the totem pole of life’s priorities. It’s just crass, opportunistic marketing on all sides. Sad, very sad.

Watch out for The Mitt and The Next on “The X Factor” with Donald Trump on bloated backup vocals.
