Thanks for the great few days at the races which we really didn’t think we would enjoy! Haha!
We will pass the word to our friends on Facebook and Twitter and Weibo and show them what they are missing!
Happy Wednesdays are great fun and much better fun than any club we have been to.
You asked for our thoughts and here are some:
Happy Wednesday should be marketed to all those who hang out down in Central and Soho not knowing what to do.
Many still don’t know about these events.
Why not hook up with the club sites and expand the Happy Wednesday fan base?
Remember the races end at 11pm and the clubs start to happen around midnight.
You can do small promotions directly with clubs like Solas, Beijing Club, Prive, Tasmanian Ballroom, dragon-i etc.
You know Gilbert Yeung and those who run these clubs, so it should be easy to have joint-promotions.
Maybe you can also ask the jockey club to get some cool DJs and not so many local bands who are not that good.
There should also be a bigger stage area as we could not see much when there.
Our friends have mentioned a club called Adrenalin at Happy Valley and is this opening soon?
We will think about Shatin but maybe there can be regular Fashions On The Field there like they do in Melbourne.
There is just too much “dead air” between the races for people like us who don’t need so much time to make our choices.
Our folks have said that unless their horses are running, it is even quite tiring for them to sit there for over five hours.
Also, how do we get more information on a young jockey like Matthew Chadwick?
We love the videos you guys have done with the “dancing trainer” and Douglas Whyte, but how about showing us what Matthew likes and some of the other younger jockeys who might have much in common with us?
Will keep thinking.
