THE DEVIL IN CASEY ANTHONY

Reference: ABC News

For months, maybe even a year, some of us, especially in the US were glued to CNN following this bizarre case of Casey Anthony and the mysterious disappearance of Caylee, her small child.

Every day, there was new twist and turn and the woman was guilty as sin.

The day her baby disappeared, she was photographed in a club and getting jiggy with whoever was there.

So much for playing the worried mother.

A month later, she blamed her nanny for running off with the child.

When the police checked, no such nanny existed.

She lied about where she worked.

She lied about everything.

Her “Party Girl” image became known.

There were then her parents.

For a while there, they seemed your average American couple.

Her father was a retired policeman.

As the case unraveled, so did they.

What did they know – and how much did they know.

There was a time when her father George became a suspect.

Months earlier, he seemed to be accusing his daughter by saying he “smelt something dead” in the back of his car – and which his daughter had used.

Then, they went on talk shows and got together to form “Find Caylee” rallies.

Bounty hunters came in and outta the picture.

It was a media circus led by the Anthonys.

Meanwhile, no one really knew who the father of the missing toddler was.

Her brother came in and outta the picture.

Every day, we saw new footage of Casey Anthony in jail – she was arrested on suspicion of murder – and eavesdropped on her bizarre conversations with her family.

She didn’t seem to give a rat’s arse about her missing child.

It was always about Me, Me, Me.

Whenever she appeared in court, she flirted with the camera and seemed to be having fun with it all.

She seemed more fixated with the way she looked.

After months of investigation, after what many thought was an air-tight case against her, she was judged to be innocent.

After three years of being in jail, she was judged innocent in a little over ten hours.

Not since the case of O.J. Simpson has there been such an outcry over her acquittal.

She was only found guilty of lying to the police.

The media was flabbergasted.

The body of Caylee was never found, the evidence was circumstantial and so she was set free.

Soon, her lawyer and hangers-on went into over-drive.

A movie deal was said to be in the works.

A book deal was a given.

But, yesterday came the news: Despite her making a deal with NBC for an exclusive interview, this came with one proviso: The network had to get her a book deal.

Guess what?

There have been no offers – offers she needs to pay off her legal bills.

And now in the works is a Court ruling to ensure that Casey Anthony makes no money from this case.

Amanda Knox and Casey Anthony: Two of a kind and sociopaths with killer smiles.
