The new way of looking at horse racing

WAS ALL THIS “GAGAMANIA” AND NOW A FOURTH SHOW IN HONG KONG SIMPLY HYPE AND BULLSH*T?

When we were forwarded the latest “good” Gagamania email below , we went, “Enough’s enough.”

A supposedly top-line international artist like Lady Gaga going from one sold-out show in Hong Kong to two, then three and now FOUR???

Oh, come on, please!

Any big International artist on tour has every minute of every second of every day planned way in advance.

Someone like Gaga is not going to “suddenly” find three EXTRA days in her schedule- least of all to perform in little Hong Kong.

It’s now become tiresome and the original “punch line” has been beaten to a pulp.

One more show in Hong Kong- bringing the grand total to FOUR? Eh. Who cares?

The only people who have REALLY benefitted from all this are the original ticket scalpers who bought and sold those early tickets.

And don’t all those knobs who paid extra for their tickets to that first show now feel cheated?

This smells like promotional manipulation at its lowest level.

Ever since Lady Madonna’s comeback this year, the announcement of a World Tour which doesn’t include Asia and following her new recording deal with the same label as Gaga, the latter has seen her popularity wane, her “Little Monsters” shrink and support from Universal Music not exactly there. Their efforts seem to be all about hyping The Wrinkly One.

Gaga and her meat dress, her outrageousness have suddenly gone quiet. Except in Hong Kong. And how big a music market is Hong Kong?

Even before the comeback of The Material Granny, Gaga’s records have been flopping- starting with the gawdawful “Judas.”

Also, remember all that hype about her being “Creative Director” of Polaroid?

And now what? And how long did interest in that piece of hype last?

We reckon that Gaga’s Management and the promoters of this tour- Live Nation- have sucker-punched a gullible Hong Kong and created a demand for supply that one normally would not think twice about. Certainly not think four times about.
