WHAT’S UNDER MR. BMW DERBY’S HAT – MOORE AUTUMN GOLD-FUN FOR PUNTERS

Trainer Sean Woods is not losing any sleep over the sudden decision by Douglas Whyte to jump off Autumn Gold after doing plenty of track work on the galloper and stick with his regular ride Gold-Fun in the BMW Derby on March 17.

Woods has gone right to the top of the International jockeys tree and booked the brilliant Ryan Moore for the ride which shows the confidence he has in Autumn Gold and how no other Hong Kong jockey would have been good enough.

The presence of Moore will certainly add an International flavour to this year’s Derby and which just might see some jockeys with egg on their faces for the switch hitting of rides.

Like David Ferraris, Sean Woods has had a topsy-turvy season and with things finally coming together.

A win for Autumn Gold with Moore aboard will be a huge boost for the affable trainer and the connections of this talented stayer.
