WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

AND WHY WE THINK IT’S OPPORTUNISTIC CRAP?

It makes for a goofy enough entertainment story, but how true is it? The Morning Post in Hong Kong has reported that Sascha Baron Cohen who is still needing a hit film since Borat which was followed up by cringeworthy over-the-top faked-out mockumentaries like the awful Bruno and a spate of ho-hum publicity stunt unworthy of the man who gave us Ali G, is to make a new movie based or inspired by the Cecil Chao comedy of errors.

Unless living under a rock for the past few weeks, the ageing Lothario that is billionaire Chao who has never been married and claims to have bedded over 10,000 females and is known to get wobbly at the sight of an attractive white woman, has made the world news by offering US$65 million to the man who could woo and marry his daughter Gigi.

An extremely attractive, articulate and intelligent lady, Gigi Chao, is said to have already married her girlfriend in Paris.

But getting back to Sasha Baron Cohen, yes, he planned to make a comedy about lesbians but this is the first we have heard anything about the movie being based on the Chau saga which is now getting tiresome.

Our advice? Sacha, do the Freddie Mercury Story, for god’s sake! As for this “news” about him making a film based on the Chao saga, we don’t believe it. He’s been talking about a movie called “The Lesbian” long before Cecil Chao and his weird “Do I have a deal for you?” offer ever saw the light of day.

The lesson: Don’t believe everything you read. This story reads like opportunistic crap. And when finally produced, would anyone really give a fuck?
