The new way of looking at horse racing

WHY DANIEL EK MADE US GO “EEK!”

When around two years ago, we asked Daniel Ek, co-founder of Spotify, how artists make money through his streaming service and he had nothing to say, we thought, “Ek? Eeek!”

All of a sudden, one has seen more and more labels having nothing to do with Spotify.

About time, too.

In fact, we predict that many will see that all these free music streaming services are only going to stop the music business from getting back on its feet.

Consumers need to understand that these services are not “cool.”

They have nothing to do with respecting and making money for artists.

They are only about making money for the big music companies- and themselves.

Their business models are as daft and one-sided as the now-defunct “Nokia Comes With Music” artists’ rip-off.

Support your smaller artists.

Give “services” like Spotify the boot.
