WHY “SUPERSTAR” SOCCER DON’T TRAVEL WELL IN CHINA

Although China is still regarded by some as “a developing country”, its GDP is ranked No. 2 in the world- and which means many “superstar” soccer players come there hoping to earn some healthy wads of RMB.

Not so easy.

Chinese soccer fans have very strong opinions about who they like and dislike. Plus all these commercials in which they appear in and for which they are paid HUGE bucks truly suck.

Every time I watch them, it’s more of a turn-off than anything else.

Kaka looks like a boring college student.

Cafu looks like a farmer.

Ronaldo looks like shit.

And Ronaldinho still looks like Karen Mok.
