Some in the media are confused why Actor Brad Pitt would open a Weibo account, China’s answer to Twitter, send out one message and then close his account.
As we should know by now, China works in mysterious ways and marches to the beat of its own drum.
Pitt had tweeted that, “Yes, I am coming” which created an avalanche of responses from China’s netizens- and then nothing.
Surprised? Us? Not really.
If memory serves us well, Brad Pitt starred in a movie some years ago called, “Seven Days In Tibet.”
Yes, it was a horrible movie, but the word TIBET makes the Chinese government very nervous and we really have to wonder if Brad Pitt closed his account, or, like others from Hollywood who opened Weibo accounts, it was closed for him by Big Mother?
