It wasn’t a very happy result on the weekend for the combination of trainer Tony Millard and jockey Zac Purton.
This was when odds-on favourite for the Steward’s Cup in Ambitious Dragon had a few problems in the running but seemed to be very flat and ended out of the placings.

For such a brilliant horse like Ambitious Dragon to be beaten by second placegetter Dan Excel in the Cup race means that Millard’s champion was having an off day.
Same with Zac Purton who was riding after vomiting all of the day before after wasting and was extremely weak.

On Wednesday, Millard and Purton combine with Genuine Leader at Happy Valley and the jockey text us to say that he won’t be riding any lightweights on Wednesday.
Until we know that Zac is one hundred back to his very best, we’d rather sit back and watch his rides as opposed to backing him.
