Sadly, there were no Happy Yeah Yeahs after the running of the Po Leung Centenary Cup.
Despite starting the red hot favourite and getting off to a flyer by Gerard Mosse, the horse did nothing in the straight.
It ran a very disappointing fourth and with the winner being 20 to 1 shot Smart Kids ridden by Howard Y T Cheng.
Despite six runs previously unplaced at Happy Valley, today, with the blinkers removed for the first time, it was a different horse.
The other runs of the race were by Regency Luck – a very good ride by Matthew Chadwick – and David Hall’s newcomer Super Tiger.
